Khao Yai National Park terrorized by wild giant crocodile rampage

Pictures of the deadly beast are hard to come by, so here’s an artist’s conception of what our imagination pictures, sans flaming breath and eye lasers.

Six years ago, some rangers spotted the beast, unaware of the monster it would one day become.

Today, the closest they’ve risked approaching is to gather its poop to study under a microscope in hopes of unraveling its mystery. Ambitions of capturing the creature have all failed.

Khao Yai park authorities aren’t even sure if the enormous and ferocious crocodile was born in the park or was abandoned there by a visitor, such as a mad, experimental genetic researcher.

Whatever its origins, the monster is now huge, territorial, violent, and worst of all, a teenager, according to Khao Yai veterinarian Patrphon Manee-On.

Ceding part of a river between Pha Kluay Mai and Haew Suwat waterfall to his domain, the park has put up big signs in Thai and English warning visitors to stay away.

A few rangers even stand around all day, calling out warnings to visitors who would dare approach his amphibian realm, Khaosod reported.
