Thai northeastern cuisine will shine when the sixth edition of the Michelin Guide extends its appetite to four Isaan provinces: Nakhon Ratchasima, Ubonratchathani, Khon Kaen, and Udonthani.
“There are many Isan-born chefs with food knowledge and cooking experience from working in world-famous restaurants abroad, and have now opened their own restaurants in their homeland,” said Gwendal Poullennec, the guide’s international director.
Since the first Michelin Guide debuted in Thailand in 2017, it has extended to cover more provinces across the regions such as Phuket, Chiang Mai, Phang-nga, and Ayutthaya.
