Yum On Over: More delights to please your palate at Yum Fest

We sure are getting yummed up at the Coconuts office this week. Our messenger has been blowing up as the city’s top restaurants get in touch to reserve their spots at Yum Fest on March 10-11. We’re locking down the live entertainment too, so watch out here for some exciting announcements next week.

Check out the new additions to our Yum Fest food roster:

Snapper New Zealand – The crew from Snapper will be on hand serving up their inimitable brand of New Zealand-style fish and chips. Always tasty and super fresh, they believe that, just ‘cause you are battering and frying your seafood, doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be top of the range. Oh, and in case you hadn’t heard, they reopened a few months ago on Sukhumvit Soi 8 after losing their longtime home on Soi 11 when the plot of land they sat on was sold.

Peppina – This is one of those places that barely needs an introduction. Peppina, highly regarded as one of the best Italian restaurants in the city since opening a few years ago, will be making their handcrafted, artisanal pizza pies for Yummers to share with friends — or keep all for themselves.

Fatboy BBQ – When you’re ready to get deep into some meaty, tangy, hearty barbeque, step up to the Fatboy booth at Yum Fest. Whether you skewer up pork or chicken, you’ll be wiping the sauce off your face (and shirt, most likely) as you step up for a second helping.

Pacbev – The team from Pacbev will be serving up some alternative booze for those skipping the beer and cocktails but who still want to get dey swerve on. Stumble up to their booth for a long, cool swig of Harry Brompton’s, a refreshing boutique alcoholic iced tea from London.

Smack n’ SmokesThese guys pride themselves on making their barbecue in the old-fashioned “low and slow” style. Sure, it takes longer but — when it tastes this good — who cares? True smoking scholars, they will be on hand serving up racks of pork ribs so tender they fall off the bone. Meat us there?
