Bangkok can savor alcohol two more hours at night, starting Wednesday.
City Hall today announced that it would grant drinkers two more hours past the current 9pm booze curfew in a statement signed by Gov. Aswin Kwanmuang.
Omicron anxiety notwithstanding, entertainment and nightlife venues – aka bars and clubs – are still set to resume operations Jan. 16.
Not that alcohol’s been in short supply. Many bars have been serving off the books in paper cups or coffee mugs, and venues with restaurant licenses have been taking advantage of the lifting of the dining booze ban, so long as they obtain health certification.
