SPONSORED – We’re about two weeks into our Mix ‘N’ Match Case Giveaway, a sweetass contest where you can win a free case of premium craft brews courtesy of Wishbeer. That’s 24 deliciously hoppy gems all gratis. All you have to do is let us know: How much do you really love beer?
The contest ends on Oct. 4th and so far we’ve received some great submissions. An early standout was Robot House whose poignant prose and disarming pictures made us feel feelings we didn’t know we had.
“Thailand’s lack of microbreweries makes me cry myself to sleep at night and it’s getting really hard to wash the tear stains from my pillows,” Mr. House wrote in his post.
We know brother, we know.
Fortunately, Wishbeer can remedy this situation with its case of love. The winner of this contest will have a six-pack of each of the following: Deschutes Chainebreaker White IPA, Mikkeller American Dream, Hitachino Nest Espresso Stout, and Brewdog Punk IPA delivered to his or her door. Needless to say these premium suds are a welcome change from the tasteless nonsense ubiquitous in Bangkok. Pour over the details below.
CONTEST BEERS:
1. Deschutes Chainebreaker White IPA: Brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; this IPA boasts a beautiful citrus aromas thanks to its Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast. It’s also worth noting that the Chainebreaker received a Silver Medal in the American-Belgo-Style Ale category at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival.
2. Mikkeller American Dream: The American Dream (also known as “Danish Dream” in Denmark) is one of the world’s top-rated beers and was designed to showcase the sought-after qualities of American hops. It pours an orange-gold with a moderately fluffy, off-white head. The anticipated grapefruit, lemon and floral aromas are backed by a hint of caramel and biscuit. The flavor is more austerely bitter and is dominated by grapefruit zest. This beer balances hot-weather refreshment with lots of hoppy-citrus character
3. Hitachino Nest Espresso Stout: From Japan’s most prestigious brewery, the very unusual character of Hitachino Nest Espresso Stout stems from the fact that Kiuchi Brewery is using the recipe of a Russian Imperial Stout as its base. Saphir & Northern Brewer hops are used. Aromas and flavors are dominated by notes of rich roasted grains, dark coffee, beans, bittersweet chocolate, mocha, cocoa and caramel.
4. Brewdog Punk IPA: This fresh, full flavor natural beer is our tribute to the classic IPAs of yester-year. The post modern twist is the addition of amazing fruity hops giving an explosion of tropical fruit flavors and a sharp bitter finish.
Ya’ll can still jump on this gravy train and enter the contest for FREE BEER. If you think you can top Robot House’s passionate pitch we encourage you to create a community post explaining to us how much you really love the good stuff.
