Need a break from all the serious-face happening in the streets? Two comedy events next week offer the ridiculous respite of live, stage comedy and improv.

Watch – or perform in – two hours of open-mic, stand-up comedy at the Bangkok Comedy Collective’s next show at 8pm on Monday at the Londoner Brew Pub.
For more than two years the shows have been held on the first and third Monday of every month. Tickets are THB200 with any drink up to the same value, with discounted drinks and food.

Improv Bangkok’s putting on the third of its new comedy shows at The Overground Bar on Soi Sukhumvit 22.
The “Improv Comedy Extravaganza” is a live comedy show of the type made famous by “Whose Line is it Anyway?”
Canadian improver Denise Jones and actor Michael Teigen will perform.
Tickets are THB250 with discounted beers and some free cocktails for women between 6pm and 10pm.
