Where the Wild Wings Are: ‘Saucey Chicken’ opening party this Friday

We don’t need a big game night to have a reason to dip our hands into some wings.

A new chicken and beer joint in town looks like a solid spot to do just that: a tropical-themed hangout in Sathorn area called Saucey Chicken and Beer Bomb. The restaurant slash bar has been in soft opening for a few months now, but is hosting a grand opening bash this Friday night with free-flow drinks, deep-fried chicken and party tunes. 

Whether you prefer your wings blazing hot, spicy and tangy, or sweet and savory, the restaurant’s menu should have a flavoring option that suits your style. There are six sauce selections to go with the wings and drumsticks: the Saucey Original, Saucey Signature, African Teriyaki, Hot BBQ, Jaew Bomb and Seoul Sauce (THB159 for six pieces / THB250 for 10 pieces / THB369 for 15 pieces.)

As for the booze, the bar serves straight-up shots, as well as “bomb shots,” AKA dropping a liquor shot into a beer. The signature drinks under this section include the Beer Bomb Jagermeister (THB280), Beer Bomb Umeshu (THB250) and Mrs. Tipsy Whiskey Sour (THB220).

The grand opening party will take place on May 17. Free flow of draft beer will run from 6pm through 8pm. DJ Gramaphone Children and DJ YP will take over the decks, playing electronic, techno and house.

Saucey Chicken and Beer Bomb opened late last year by Komgrib “Note” Leelaake, Amorn Rattanawan and Thip “Pad” Penpayap. It’s located on Soi Phiphat 1, near Soi Sathorn 8, and can be reached by foot from BTS Chong Nonsi.
