BOOGIE: Disco Robot presents Luv Bugs

Disco Robot is back for another kooky evening of boogie, funk and all the good stuff in between. This time, there’s even a couple sweet perks thrown in with the disco ball – Black Pagoda’s newly upgraded sound system and the promise of a raging after-party until the wee hours of the morning. Resident DJs Jaydubb and Felix Moreno from Deutschland are manning the decks, with a special vinyl set from Thailand’s own DJ Mod.

The retro sounds of Stereo are returning in a sightly new backdrop, the outdoor garden of Indus on Sukhumvit 26. DJs Florian de Lux and Co2an have got a trusty bag of tricks strictly from the ’70s, ’80s and disco and, my sources tell me, absolutely no corny remixes are allowed! In the past, Stereo partygoers have been known for sporting neon-colored afro wigs, bell bottoms and other retro gear raided from the closet! Bust out those vintage duds and you’ll fit in splendidly with the 30-inch disco ball.

Meanwhile, in the LSD room at Grease, the air will be thick with house and techno. DJ Angela Flame is coming all the way from Singapore to play alongside nolen.volens and DJ Nick Dunton. Flame launched her career in Berlin at venues like the Tresor, the Awakenings parties and Love Parade, so this is a woman that really knows how to stitch the most solid beats together. Also featuring live LED visuals by Theeraphat Nithivanich.

Get ready for the third anniversary of Underground Circus, a steadily pumping party series at Glow Nightclub. Resident DJs Sunju Hargun and Dan Buri are joined by DJs Boris Rubin and Aardy to bring down the house.

GROOM: Don’t Touch My Mustache

Blossoming party crew Spoiled Rotten are putting on a night of Japanese mischief and mayhem with the debut of Kyoto’s DJ Halfby. Halfby will be joined by fellow DJs from the Land of the Rising Sun, Moola and MeeHaa. On the evening’s agenda are kawaii coyote dancers, sumo wrestlers and a free moustache for every guest upon entry. But if a photo op in front of Mount Fuji doesn’t sell you, this is also just an excuse to check out the stunning views from one of Bangkok’s newest rooftop venues, Cloud 47.
