Find the Locker Room, a speakeasy-themed bar in Thonglor that’s hidden behind gym lockers, celebrated its two year anniversary last week by launching a new set of cocktails.
The bar, which we recently listed as one our favorite Bangkok speakeasies, opened in July 2017 and was co-founded by five “star-tenders”: Chennarong “Janz” Bhumichitr, Colin Chia, Nick Wu, Ronnaporn “Nueng” Kanivichaporn and Hidetsugo Ueno.

The cocktail menu will still stick with its original concept of “Past-Present-Future,” but starting in September — during which the new drinks will make their official debut — more than half of the menu will be replaced by newly designed concoctions. Coconuts Bangkok visited the venue recently to get a sneak peek of the new offerings, so here’s an idea of what to expect.
Drinks from the “past” consist of classic recipes that trace back to the early age of bartending: for instance, a frothy glass of Million Dollar Cocktail (gin, sweet vermouth, grenadine syrup, pineapple juice and egg white, THB390). While the drink will stay on the menu list, it will also get a new adaptation by the venue’s senior bartender Patiphan “Fluke” Klaynatr.
For the “present” take on this Million Dollar Cocktail, Fluke utilizes two ingredients popularly used in two different countries — earl grey tea and shiso — thus giving birth to the new drink From Singapore to Yokohama (gin, blackberry liqueur, pineapple juice, lemon juice, earl grey tea syrup, egg white and shiso, AKA Japanese basil, THB420).
In his interpretation of the same base drink for the “future” recipe, Fluke created the refreshing Pineapple-Apple-Pine (THB420), mixing Filliers pine blossom dry gin with pineapple and apple shrubs.
If you’ve ever wondered what pizza is like in a glass, here comes the answer. The traditional margarita gets a couple of transformations by Saharat “Max” Kaewkong, whose present-themed Margherita or Margarita (THB420) is jazzed up with mozzarella-infused tequila, basil, tomato cordial and fresh orange juice.
For his “future” take on this drink, Max adds a spicy edge in Ooh La La, a blend of jalapeno-infused vodka, agave syrup, white bitter liqueur, citric acid solution and tonic water (THB420). It pairs perfectly with spicy Mexican or Thai dishes, said Max.
Apart from these drinks, the team told us that they are still working on the final touches of another handful of cocktails, which are all scheduled for release along with the full menu launch in September.
