The South Africans are having a ball in Bangkok

Wear colorful clothing to a South African music and food event next month in Bangkok.

Two business groups will host a South African-themed party 6pm to midnight on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Montien Hotel Surawong.

The party will feature live music by Qudasi and Maqhinga, a band that has won awards for its traditional music, as well as a DJ set by Daniel Poole.

Revenue from the event will be donated to the Nak Suu Rugby Academy, a charity program that helps children and at-risk youth in Bangkok.  

For the food, taste South African cuisine and free-flow wine.

The event is for adults only.

Tickets are THB2,950 (THB2,700 for members of the South African/Thai Chamber of Commerce) and available online. 

The event will be held in the Rajmontiem Ball Room at the Montien Hotel Surawong, located near MRT Sam Yan.
