Enter: Pub Crawl Bangkok. For those who might not be familiar with pub crawls, they’re essentially a planned night of specific venues (usually pubs or clubs) that are within walking distance and that have been carefully selected beforehand to provide an evening of varied yet non-stop entertainment. You get to check out new spots that you might not have heard of before (or that you’ve been meaning to go to!), and it keeps things fresh since you don’t get bored by having to spend the whole night in just one place.
Currently, Pub Crawl Bangkok hosts two weekly crawls that’re centered around the Nana/Sukhumvit 11 area. Each crawl includes four bars and clubs; upon purchase of a ticket, you’re immediately emailed the details of the secret check-in location (the rest, however, is kept a secret until the night of ;)). And even if you’ve done one of their crawls before, they’re constantly switching things up so chances are that a future crawl might take you to new spots that you hadn’t been to during your first crawl. The entire event lasts approximately three and a half hours as you hop from location to location.
Here’s how it works: upon checking in, attendees are given a special wristband and presented with their full itinerary, including the planned locations and the exclusive drinks specials at each spot. The night usually starts out somewhere with a more chilled atmosphere where you can get to know your fellow partygoers, and then the party gradually ramps up throughout the event. Guests are able to spend approximately an hour at each spot (a perfect amount of time for you to suss out the place’s vibes), and then receive a ten-minute warning before the whole group shimmies on over to the next place. At the final location, you’re then free to party for as long into the night as you want. Because the team has had years of experience putting together these events, you don’t have to worry about being dragged to dingy or rowdy bars full of drunk youths. In fact, most of Pub Crawl Bangkok’s nights end at a swanky VIP-style club.
In addition to being a great opportunity to meet new people in the city, Pub Crawl Bangkok also includes a ton of perks such as free entry and skip-the-line opportunities at all venues, as well as free shots or exclusive drink deals at the different locations.
