Sizzler, the budget-friendly steakhouse chain from California, has just altered its traditionally meat-heavy menu in a major way: Starting today, its restaurants in Thailand are serving meat-free, plant-based entrees that will ensure customers — be they carnivores, vegans, vegetarians or flexitarians — can walk away with full stomachs.

Best known for its steaks, signature cheese toasts and all-you-can-eat salad bars; Sizzler today announced the launch of the new items, citing growing public acceptance and demand for plant-based meals.

The four plant-based additions are grouped under the concept “Taste the Future,” and will be available at dozens of Sizzlers branches across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket through the end of 2019. It’s the first time the restaurant has released any plant-based options to customers in Thailand.

The new dishes include the Omni Steak with Mushroom Sauce (THB379), a huge plant-based steak covered in creamy mushroom sauce and topped with a mound of broccoli, zucchini, straw mushroom and thyme. Classic game day dishes get a twist with this win-wiener: the Beyond Chili Dog (THB479), a spiced hot dog served with red salsa, crusty bread, vegan cheese and a baked potato.

There’s also the Beyond Caramelized Onion Burger (THB479) that’s made of layers of a “beef” patty, hydroponic vegetables, caramelized onions cooked in olive oil and vegan cheese.

The last item is Beyond Steak with Pepper Sauce (THB479), which sees grilled mock meat paired with spicy black pepper sauce, fries and a side of vegetables.
