Atop an ultra-luxury hotel in Bangkok’s central business district lies a speakeasy-themed bar that features not only craft cocktails but also the “largest collection of vinyl records in Asia.”
Lennon’s, which opened last month on the very top floor of the Rosewood Bangkok, has a lot to keep its customers entertained: a large selection of hand-crafted cocktails, a cigar lounge and vinyl record shop.
That last one holds a collection of more than 6,000 records from all music genres, from pop and jazz to rock and blues. Guests can pick up their favorites for purchase or ask the in-house DJ to give it a spin.
The venue’s signature cocktails include The Sky is Crying (THB390), which is a combination of gin, aquavit, sakura vermouth and beetroot juice, and Fly Me to the Moon (THB420), a whiskey-based concoction mixed with Amaro, Cacao Blanc and Mancino Rosso vermouth that’s inspired by the classic Frank Sinatra song.
Fans of famous rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers can try a drink that shares the same name of the band’s song: Dreams of a Samurai (whiskey, yuzu sake and a splash of lycee topped with shiso leaf, THB430).
Keeping in line with the American Prohibition era-theme, the bar’s spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine-private cigar lounge.
Lennon’s opens from 5pm until midnight every day. It’s located on the 30th floor of Rosewood Bangkok, which can be reached by foot from BTS Phloen Chit.
