Sathorn’s got a new spot serving Mediterranean-style dishes inside an artsy joint that makes for a great post-work hangout.
Adding to the Soi Sathorn 10 scene is Bardo Social Bistro and Bar, which opened last month with checkered floors, counter seating and green walls displaying stellar artwork by French artist Kostar, who is known for his early ‘90s street art and intelligent humor.
The small menu plays on Mediterranean seasonality with innovative bistro fare ideal for sharing with friends, colleagues or family. Think bites like Truffle Tourton (beignet-like fritters made from potato, truffle and Raclette cheese for THB100) and Juliette platter (THB760) that come with three cheeses, three cold cuts, pork rillettes, summer rolls, tomato garlic toast and chicken croquettes.
Heartier dishes include Chicken Milanese (breaded chicken breast, fettuccine, and salad for THB360) and Flank Steak that’s served with chimichurri sauce and cheese mashed potatoes (THB650). If the stomach has room to spare, some of the recommended desserts are Miso Brownie (THB150) and French classic and luscious Flan Creme Caramel (THB180).
Drinks are cleverly crafted in name and taste. The highlights include Khaleesi (Broker’s gin, dry vermouth, dragonfruit, lemongrass and galangal for THB320) and El Bandido (El Jimador blanco tequila and Pampelle ruby red grapefruit aperitif, basil, jalapeno, lime and spiced rum for THB320).
Drink deals are on the offer too. Head there Mondays to get buy-one-get-one negronis, or Friday for THB150 G&Ts.
Bardo Social and Bistro Bar opens from 5pm until midnight every day except Monday. It is located on Soi Sathorn 10 and can be reached from BTS Chong Nonsi.
