Run by a Russian family that knows adeen or dva about baking, Sourdough Bangkok specializes in tangy, chewy, slow-fermented bread.

At Sourdough’s shophouse off Pan Road in Silom area, husband-and-wife team Andrei Matveenkova and Olga Matveenkova use an all-natural starter – no commercial yeast involved – and bake their loaves on a stone, giving them a just-right amount of sourness, crunch and chew.

Go for their tangy, classic wheat (THB120), hearty rye (THB180) or wheat with seeds (THB160) for some crunch. At their spacious coffee shop, they also offer a variety of sandwiches like the Truffle & Cheese (THB140), all to go with a mean cup of coffee.

Sourdough is located on Pan Road in the Silom area, about a 10-minute walk from BTS Saint Louis or Surasak. It’s open 9am to 6pm every day except Tuesday.
