The mad monk of Bangkok’s Russian culinary scene – indeed the owner of its only Russian restaurant – will host a party tomorrow to watch his appearance on Iron Chef Thailand.
Alesha Voronin will appear at 6pm on Channel 7 on Saturday to compete in a one-on-one cook-off-battle against 2019 Iron Champion Nattawut “Aof” Thamphan by preparing authentic Russian fare.
“I felt like a whale (in a) huge storm. But a whale who went there for fun,” Voronin told Coconuts on Friday afternoon.
Voronin’s restaurant The Moon Under the Water is located in Soi Suan Phlu. The nearest public transit is BTS Chong Nonsi and MRT Lumphini.
