One of Bangkok’s OG bartenders, Suwincha “Chacha” Singsuwan, is putting on a pet-friendly pop-up cocktail bar for three months starting next week until the end of February.
Formerly of Rabbit Hole before moving on to mix drinks at Villa Frantzen, Chacha said she wants to create a safe space for people to bring their pets out with them. The pop-up is located next door to Dr. Dope, a cannabis dispensary on Rama IV Road.
Named after herself, the Suwincha Singsuwan bar was inspired by the very limited amount of public spaces in Bangkok where people can take their furry friends.
“But no snakes, please,” Chacha said, laughing. Guests are also asked to clean after their pets and keep the noise down. Pets must also be supervised at all times and kept with the guests at the table.
The bar aims to be as stress-free as possible with the drinks made by Chacha at the bar. The small menu of five signature cocktails (THB350) changes bi-weekly (see below for the debut menu), with five classic cocktails (THB350), simple-mixed cocktails (THB250), and shots (THB150).
The bar can fit 24 people standing (“sorry, we don’t have chairs,” Chacha said.) Some profits will be donated to the Soi Dog Foundation.
The bar is located next door to Dr. Dope, a cannabis dispensary in Soi Farmwattana off of Rama IV Road. It opens Nov. 22 onward every day except Monday from 6pm until late.
