Soi Sukhumvit 11 has welcomed a new bar just across from the popular Havana Social that will prep partygoers with disco tunes.
One Two Two will host a grand opening party Thursday with free-flow drinks running from 8:30pm until 10pm. The bar is a new addition to the tourist magnet that is Soi 11.
One Two Two aims to bring visitors back to 1920s Paris, with its bar perched in the middle of the room surrounded by red carpet. The second floor offers even more red, as well as comfortable, loungey couches to listen to French electronic classics such as Daft Punk’s Around The World and Justice’s D.A.N.C.E.
DJs play disco from 11pm onward every night.
Cocktail menu includes easy-to-drink Midori Symphony (Roku gin, yuzu puree, Midori, lime juice, egg white, Thai basil lemon bitters for THB390) and a smoky glass of Smoke On The Water (Flor de Cana 12 Years, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Grand Marnier, Mr. Black Coffee Amaro, Chocolate bitters for THB420).
Those who like something strong but sweet and soft can try the classic Boulevardier with a chocolate twist; Coco Boulevardier mixes cocoa nib-infused Dewares 8 Years, Campari bitters, Carpano Antika Formula Sweet Vermouth, topped with orange peel and milk chocolate for THB390.
The menu changes every few months; look out for the vermouth-focused next one.
Considering its location, the drinks game at One Two Two is pretty strong, and their choice of disco and French favorites instead of Soi 11’s EDM anthems makes it worth revisiting.
One Two Two is open from 6pm until late every day except Monday.
