What’s a little pandemic to slow the city’s ever-growing coffee culture?
Opening just yesterday on South Sathorn Road, Flash Coffee brings award-winning baristas bearing avocado-infused lattes, lychee coffee and even a savory-sweet Nutella blend.
The caffeine house is backed by world-famous Chiang Mai barista Arnon “Tong” Thitiprasert, founder of Ristr8to and past winner of the World Latte Art award, and Indonesia Latte Art 2018 champion Robby Firlian.
Although the location is situated in the busy Sathorn business district, its prices are relatively affordable. Try an espresso and americano for THB40 or pay THB70 for either an Avo Latte or Lychee Latte. The Nutella Latte is the priciest at THB75.
Vegan drinkers can replace the milk with plant-based substitutes of their choice – soy, pistachio or almond.
Some of the non-coffee drinks are the Matcha-Damia Shake (THB70), Lotus Biscuit Shake (THB75) and Nutella Coconut Shake (THB75).
Defining itself as a “tech-enabled” coffee chain, Flash Coffee secured funding from Rocket Internet, a Berlin tech incubator. The first Flash Coffee opened in Jakarta, with more outlets planned for both capital cities this year.
