There is only one truth for Cased Closed fans, and here it is: Japan’s famed Detective Conan Cafe is about to open its very first case in Bangkok this August, smack in the middle of the city.
Inspired by Gosho Aoyama’s much beloved manga series, which has been popular in Thailand for over 20 years, the cafe will offer themed desserts, beverages, souvenirs, and collectibles from the ongoing series, as well as the franchise’s upcoming movie Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer.
The movie is also set to premiere in Thailand next month. Coincidence? We don’t think so.

Anyhow, this cafe is a pop-up, and will only be here in Bangkok from August 2 through September 30 at Bake a Wish, a bakery located on the ground floor of Siam Center, one of the city’s hippest shopping malls. Yes, the Conan cafe will share a common space with another existing cafe.
While additional details remain a mystery to the public, the mere announcement of its opening has already received quite a bit of fanfare. Since its Facebook page opened just nine days ago, Conan Cafe Bangkok has already gained over 6,000 followers.
