Here’s where to find jasmine-themed food and drink specials for the month of Mother’s Day

Thailand’s Mother’s Day is just around the corner (August 12). In Thai tradition, the jasmine flower is the symbol of showing love and gratitude to mothers, which means that a lot of Bangkok venues are currently releasing menu items featuring the white flower with a distinctive sweet fragrance. Most of these food and drink specials will be available all month long, so you’ll have more than a day to show some love for momma.

This Chinatown gem is best known for serving creative desserts like its Sriracha Sauce and Salted Egg Coconut ice cream, and has just launched two new flavors of the month for August. Keeping with the Mother’s Day theme, Jing Jing’s kitchen has infused jasmine flowers in milk or water to create an intense blossom-y Jasmine Sorbet (THB50 per scoop) and a creamy cup of Milky Jasmine (THB80 per scoop).

Jing Jing Ice Cream Bar and Cafe is located on Soi Charoen Krung 14, only 200 meters away from the newly opened MRT Wat Mangkorn

Artisan tea specialist Te (stylized as TE) launched a Mother’s Day special menu set that will last until the end of August. The highlights include the Mother’s Day Special Blend that puts together jasmine green tea with jasmine flowers, pandan leaf, licorice and bael fruit. It’s available in both hot and cold for THB180 per pot.

If you’re into both ice cream and tea, then we would recommend you to try the TE Float. It’s the aforesaid tea blend, but shaken with ice and homemade longan honey syrup and topped with a coconut-flavored scoop of ice cream called Tropical Wonderland. The float is THB155.

The menus are available at both branches of Te: on the fourth floor of Siam Discovery, and on Soi Thonglor 25.

The well-known tea franchise brings back the menu that gained popularity from last year’s Mother’s Day promotion: The “Butterfly Pea Jasmine Tea” is now back on the menu at over 60 Cha Tra Mue stores, with two items to choose from — Jasmine Butterfly Pea Milk Tea and Jasmine Butterfly Pea Honey Lemon Tea. They are priced at THB50 each.

The tea, which comes in a blend of blue and white colors, is made in-house from green tea leaves picked from Thailand’s mountain regions. The drinks will be available until August 31 at every Cha Tra Mue store nationwide.

The cafe and bistro has launched a gorgeous-looking dessert that can also be gifted to mothers who prefer a little DIY in their tea time. The Jasmine Pot Cake is available in two types: Love Mom A (vanilla cake with Thai milk tea filling and decorated with two jasmine flowers), and Love Mom B (vanilla cake with chocolate filling and decorated with three jasmine flowers). At THB150 each, the cakes are available at all eight stores of Audrey, from August 10 until August 12, and also available via pre-orders. Pick-ups at the stores are scheduled for August 11 and August 12.
