The Translæctica trans*queer party returns to Jam on Thursday for further explorations into the slippery world of gender and and sexual identity.
The night will begin with “Power and Privilege,” a workshop discussing gender and sexuality identity in a social context. Afterward will be a screening of “NATPWE, The Feast of Spirits” a documentary about a Burmese trance ritual. Later on in the night Tara Transitory or “One Man Nation” will speak about her findings from the intersection of gender, noise and ritual.
The bar area will be accompanied by DJs Taami and Kiirii, known for their experimental sounds, throughout the whole night.
The event starts at 6pm on Thursday at Jam. Entrance to the event is free.
