The plates of fancy food on the table won’t just be for the tongue, but the other senses — sight, sound, smell and touch — will be aroused at an upcoming, unique dining experience.
For the first time in Thailand, Doozy Digilab is taking their experimental approach to fine dining, riding the digital disruption wave with “Digital Delicious,” an extravagant event uniting top chefs, scent designers, food designers, illustrators and more for an immersive and interactive culinary journey.
And to feed our transhuman souls, the event will feature not only food but also 4D projection mapping, multi-touch screen interfaces and interactive multimedia.
What’s on offer will include a four-course lunch (THB3,290) and dinner (THB3,590) where each course adheres to the lofty concepts of Castle in the Sky, The Garden of Dreams, Deep Blue Sea and A Space Odyssey. An afternoon tea set is THB1,690.
Behind the food and drinks are four talents: the recent winner of Iron Chef Thailand, Eric Weidmann, award-winning chef-celeb Pichaya “Pam” Soontornyanakij, pastry chef Chanchanok “Kate” Soontornyanakij and mixologist Arnon Hoontrakul.
Limited guests of 20 are allowed per round and advance reservations are required.
Digital Delicious starts Friday and will run over two months through to Jan. 12 at Play Room on the fourth floor of the Oriental Residence Bangkok. The five-star property is located on Witthayu Road and can be reached from BTS Phloen Chit.
