A Muslim community in Bangkok’s Charoen Krung area will share its food and culture Saturday at a one-day flea market.

More than 50 food stalls selling halal dishes will dominate Soi Charoen Krung 36’s Haroon Food Festival on Saturday.

The street will be packed with promising chicken biryani, stuff rotis, samosas, beef balls, jerkies and more. Arriving with an empty stomach is highly recommended.

The event is also a chance to visit, or revisit, one of Bangkok’s more significant mosques, the Haroon Mosque, which has been around for over 150 years.

The Haroon Food Festival will run 9am to 5pm on Saturday at Soi Charoen Krung 36.
