Eat all the chocolate you can at this new Bangkok rooftop bar

Bangkok is spoiled with roofs to carouse atop, and now a new one is bringing a new experience with a chocolate cave made with cognac and rum.

Sandwiched between Cru Champagne and Red Sky, Cocoa XO is a recent addition to the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre. Up on the 57th floor, patrons can spend evenings moving up and down the stairs hopping between three sky-high rooftop bars.

The focus at Cocoa XO is on cognac, whether in cocktails or chocolate. Up to 14 labels of the French brandy are on the offer with prices ranging from THB420 per glass to extravagant THB9,300 for a 45-ml pour of Remy Martin Louis XIII.

All cognac-based cocktails are THB590. For something sparkly, try Swift Fix (Martell VSOP, Chartreuse jaune, pineapple cordial, citrus, and soda).

Since the focus here is also about chocolate, the venue features a “chocolate cave” where customers pay THB812 to spend as much time as they like from 4pm to midnight eating up to 50 different kinds of chocolate — both with alcohol and without. If a chocolate buffet is too much, they also sell by the bite starting at THB45.

A must-try has to be their dark chocolate soft serve that has booze in it (THB220). On top of cognac-based cocktails, they also offer chocolate cocktails. More Than A Tea mixes white chocolate with orange liqueur, Absolut Mandarin, vanilla syrup, and mango (THB450) and tastes just like an orange yogurt smoothie.
