A fruit buffet in Chiang Mai province is proving popular with Chinese tourists — as well as Thais and other foreigners lining up to taste the sweetness as well.

On Sunday, more than 200 people waited in line in front of the Chiang Mai Department of Internal Trade to enjoy a fruit buffet that offers a continuous flow of fresh durians, rambutans, pineapples, lychees, mangosteens, and sticky rice for THB399 per person, reported Thai News Bureau.

Different kinds of fruit are served three times a day. The fruit feast sessions are from 12:30-2:30pm, 4pm – 5:30pm and 6:30-8pm, so you can’t just sit there all day and feast on Thai fruit.

The event is aimed at creating a place for local fruit farmers to showcase their produce and increase the popularity of Thai fruit among foreigners. Around 2,000 kilograms of fruit are served to 600 people everyday.
