Save your detox for next week because the city’s cocktail trailblazers have tons of deals going on for World Cocktail Week. The Craftsmen – as the Swedish trio behind the cocktails of Hyde & Seek and Viva and Aviv have renamed themselves (we suppose their former name, Swedish Bar Mafia startled some guests) – got Soul Food Mahanakorn and WTF together to pay their respects to cocktails their own way. Here’s what’s going down until May 20.
Viva and Aviv
This week is all about tiki cocktails and rum classics at the pirate-inspired bar. The Craftsmen put together a special list of fruity cocktails, so you know it will be good, abundant and something you’ve never tried before.
Hyde and Seek
Hyde and Seek has taken a nostalgic angle, putting together a menu of “old and forgotten cocktails, the kind that were shaken, stirred and built before there was even black and white TVs.”
WTF
Your friendly neighborhood cocktail joint will feature fruity drinks from their current menu, like the Orchard (a gin-soaked lychee lemongrass concoction), a mangosteen caipirinha, and a new concoction: the Mango Sriracha (bourbon, fresh mango, lime, sriracha bitters).
Soul Food Mahanakorn
A couple of new cocktails with Soul Food’s usual Thai twist will be available for sampling, like the Thai Michelada – tequila, coconut syrup, ginger syrup, fresh ginger, topped with Asahi beer and a chilli-salt rimmed glass tastes like an exotic white beer.
ALSO: There will be deals on Americano cocktails at all of these fine establishments if you’re feeling more classic than adventurous.
