A delicious and viscous mixture of all things Thai cuisine is what the soon-to-be opened restaurant Paste on Sukhumvit 49 is all about. Its name is a reference to the curries and paste bases frequently used in Thai cooking.
Paste plans to take Thai cuisine to the next level. “I did not want to just put familiar Thai dishes on fancy chinaware and call it different,” says Paste’s chef/owner Bongkoch Satongun. “Instead, I wanted to use familiar Asian flavors constructed and formatted in a unique, original way. If this means breaking the rules…then so be it.”
The Thai dining house will feature artwork from Jirawat Pramphet, a local artist.
A soft opening is set for the first week of March. Paste is located at 120/6 Soi Sukhumvit 49.
