Carl’s Jr. promises to ‘mess up’ Bangkok burger scene

The Bangkok burger scene is set to “get messy” warns California fast food chain Carl’s Jr., which is opening two stores in Bangkok this Friday.

The burger chain is famous for its sex-charged ad campaigns – a half-naked Paris hilton washing a car while stuffing her face with a burger, and slogans like, “She’ll tell you size doesn’t matter”.

Sex aside, Carl’s Jr. offers a bit more “quality” in their burger business than your average fast-food restaurant, with all-beef charbroiled patties smothered in an array of toppings ranging from portobello mushrooms to barbecue sauce to onion rings to – for the more health-conscious – fresh vegetables.

One of the new burger joints will be locatedat 24th Avenue on Sukhumvit Soi 24 and the other sandwiched amid Japanese-themed massage parlors and “entertainment” venues on soi Thaniya in Silom.
