Greyhound Cafe, the omnipresent, vaguely tasty, kinda cute, sorta hi-so cafe where cute Thais eat lunch just opened its first branch in London.
Here’s a quick look at the new cafe in London:
Yup, so if you’re visiting or living in London and want to feel just like you’re back in urban Thailand, pop into the new branch, located in downtown’s Fitzrovia neighborhood, near the West End. They promise the dishes will taste exactly as they do in all the (many) Bangkok outlets.
Though that might not sound that great to Bangkokians spoilt for delicious Thai food in the city, the London branch may shine since they do pretty credible pad thais, tom yum soup, crab and corn fritters with sweet chili sauce, and somtam. Probably better than many Thai restaurants in London.
Since the restaurant opened in late December, many London-based Thais have jumped on their Facebook page to leave 5-star reviews. User JumJim Saowanee said, “It tastes good. It’s as delicious as Thailand and sitting here is like sitting in Bangkok.”
This is the Thai brand’s first European branch, though it has a 20-year history and 31 stores in Asia, including outlets in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
