DINING DISPATCH – American seafood restaurant the Seafood Bar, on Sukhumvit Soi 16, will close its doors for good tomorrow, and tomorrow night the restaurant welcomes diners to come clear out their humungous stock of fresh crustaceans, fish and accoutrements.
Ever had lobster? We’re talking about the real North Atlantic variety, not it’s spiny, domestic cousin. Or how about Snow Crab caught in Alaska? Tomorrow night is your chance to haggle for these otherwise unaffordable fruits of the sea and have them cooked up however you want.
You’ll also have the opportunity to try a whole host of oysters from America – right down to oysters that can only be found in the waters of specific islands in the Pacific Northwest. Again, prices will be significantly reduced to help clear out stock, so seize the opportunity and order a number of these bad boys.
The end of the Seafood Bar is most unfortunate, but its sister eatery, the Oyster Bar, on Narithiwat Rd. will be expanding operations.
