It was inevitable.
Like an unstoppable force of nature, the “cronut” craze has made its way to Thailand and the flaky treat is now being served at Lebua hotel’s Cafe Mozu.
What’s a cronut, you say? Really?
Everyone and their mother knows by now that a cronut is a half-croissant, half-donut hybrid that combines the best qualities of both coffee-enhancing treats into one delightful pastry package.
“The perfect Croughnut [sic] has the light and flaky layered texture of a croissant inside and the creamy crispness and glazed sugar texture of a doughnut outside,” say the PR masterminds at Lebua.
Cronut craziness has already caused chaos in New York City and is beginning to spread globally.
Brace yourself, Bangkok.
