Craft beer fans, take note. The “father of Thai craft beer” has opened a new branch that is slightly closer to downtown, and it’s a real Chit Hole.
Brewfans can now head across the Chao Phraya River to try new hoppy tastes from Chitbeer founder, Col. Wichit “Chit” Saiklao, at his second location near the Krung Thon Bridge.
For the past decade, the river island of Koh Kret in Nonthaburi province has been a drinking destination thanks to the military colonel-turned-craft beer veteran’s eponymous Chitbeer.
Unlike that cramped-but-friendly location, Chit Hole boasts a lot more space with six beer taps offering a range of pours such as Wizard Pilsner, Chitbeer Floral Paradise, and Devanom Tropical.
Chit Hole is open 5pm until midnight from Thursday through Sunday. It is located inside the Royal River Hotel on Soi Charan Sanitwong 66/1. Visitors can park at the hotel and access the bar through the lobby. Those who come via public transportation should take a motorbike from MRT Sirindhorn.
