Charcoal crepes, truffle chips and Basque burnt cheesecake are so 2020. The new food trend flooding Thai Instagram? Plain and simple: croissants.
With several Bangkok cafes fronting croissants as the latest rave to crave and the rise of “croissant specialty” venues, one Silom bakery has jumped to the fore of the viennoiserie revolution with an attention-grabbing item.
Show that special someone you love them with a Croissant Bouquet just launched in time for Valentine’s Day by Kokopan. It’s exactly what it sounds like, the brittle and flaky baked treats arranged in a delicious bouquet festooned with baby’s breath flowers by the Flower of Neptune florist. Available for delivery around Love Day, the bouquet will feature eight mini plain croissants and, no, you can’t substitute them with fancier varieties like chocolate, almond or nutella.
The bouquet is THB890 (US$29) and only available for preorder online for delivery on Feb. 13, 14 or 15.
They will not be sold in the Kokopan’s bakery, which is open 8am to 5pm right by BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Silom on Soi Silom 2/1.
