BangkokFoodies.com launches today as encyclopedia of everything delicious in Bangkok

After three years as an ultra-active Facebook group, Bangkok Foodies has become a full-fledged website today. Designed to serve locals, expats, and tourists, it features reviews of everything from fine French dining to street food, directories, interviews with chefs and foodies, food events, calendars, photos, and videos.

Founded by Samantha Proyrungtong, the foodie wonder woman behind the original Facebook group, the site launched fully-loaded with original content she has literally spent years collecting and curating.

Samantha, the brains behind Bangkok Foodies.

Find your new favorite food spot by browsing a site created by an expert, or get a laugh from insider promotions such as this discount you get at the famed Daniel Thaiger burger truck on Sukhumvit Soi 30/1  if you show up and yell “Bangkok Foodies!”

(Note: For those that don’t like embarrassing themselves in public, you can also get their burgers delivered via Foodpanda and Ubereats, though the shouting promo is only available for dine-in and carry-out at the food truck.)

Samantha said, “Consider Bangkok Foodies your fellow foodie best mate, it’s your resource to everything foodie-related happening in the city. We have ‘The Buzz,’ which is all that’s trending or new on the scene, interviews with chefs, the directory to take the guesswork out of where to eat and what, and even an ‘Explore Thailand’ section to cover foodies activities like tours.”

About getting the site launched today, she said, “The amount of relief it is to have Bangkok Foodies grow up and become independent from Facebook is indescribable. I just hope foodies will be able to enjoy it as we have purposed it. We don’t like to take things too seriously, the point is that we all love food and to constantly know more about it. The website will hopefully ‘feed’ the foodies with their insatiable thirst for foodies knowledge.”

And, for aspiring food experts out there, they are apparently open to freelance writers.
