Where smiles survive: Pastoral life captured by Thai photographer’s len (PHOTOS)

These are the images that make you consider unplugging from the grid.

Sarawut Intarob, an amateur photographer from Sakon Nakorn, shared with us these photographs of his neighbours in the Wanon Niwat district in some of their happiest moments.

“Every afternoon, I’d ride my motorbike into nearby villages and the fields to take photos of the locals at their homes,” he explained. “Many photos I took were by happenstance.”

A deep strain of affection is the constant found in the images of young people, old people, animals and beautiful settings. Be warned, there’s so much humanity you might risk experiencing a sincere human emotion.

“In this photo set, I want to display the lives of people in the upcountry, which are not rich or powerful, but purely simple,” Sarawut said. “They can still be happy despite lacking those things.”
