Souls of Bangkok: The Street Tailor

SOULS OF BANGKOK — They may pour by the thousands through air-conditioned malls for most of their shopping, but out on the street, Witchai’s customers are likely to stop by his simple stand for some emergency wardrobe repairs. Whether for a few stitches or a new button, the 58-year-old tailor says the foot traffic between nearby malls at Ratchayothin intersection keeps him pretty busy.
