Souls of Bangkok: Nop and Pop the Boardgamers

SOULS OF BANGKOK — Nop the programmer and Pop the graduate student, 25, are both boardgamers. From their experience, boardgaming’s high cost and language demands are a barrier to gaining popularity.

“Playing a board game means you gather up with friends and spend time with them,” Nop said. “It’s much more fun when we get together in real life, play some games and yell our heads off at each other.”

Souls of Bangkok is a Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Bangkok home.
