SOULS OF BANGKOK — Day in and day out, he traverses up and down Silom Road with bags of mango, pineapple, papaya and other fruits. Somewhere nearby is his girlfriend, who carries the same stock for sale to the many street vendors selling to tourists and foreign visitors in a district that is one part Wall Street to two parts Las Vegas.
Souls of Bangkok is a Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Bangkok home.
