It’s another lazy Sunday. Hunger has forced you from bed and home to seek something delicious. If lounging at a picnic with friends or family while feasting on gourmet eats sounds good – and it’s the last Sunday of the month – consider the Spring Epicurean Market at Spring/Summer Restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 39 (Soi Promsri).
The Spring Epicurean Market is unique from other foodie markets with a cozy location and chill attitude. Local vendors at a couple dozen tables offer mostly hand-prepared artisanal goodies.
Market-goers can hang out or curl up on big comfy beanbags under the trees while enjoying eco-friendly grub. With an international scene, it’s not a bad place to meet people from around the world or gain some knowledge from the experts. Many vendors are keen to share their love for foods – and samples.
Phol Tantasathien, owner of Spring/Summer, said it’s the market “is a ‘seed market’, most vendors can be shopped from here only, or online.”
To keep things fresh, the vendors change every three months, with some new sellers also appearing each month.
One tip: Don’t become an object of scorn – remember to bring your own reusable bag.
