Furry Family: Big cat bosses around adorable pack of 7 tiny Chihuahuas

At a home in Rangsit, seven adorable Chihuahuas look up to “Ritchie,” a grumpy old cat who is the leader of their tiny dog pack.

The cutest pets on Instagram got some new competition after photos of not one, but seven tiny Chihuahuas, won the hearts of animal lovers worldwide — and the best part is the seven little pups are bossed around by a large cat.

Pusanisa Disapirom, the owner of the pets and the owner of the Instagram account @YutaFamily, told Coconuts that her sister took Ritchie into the family five years ago when he was a kitten. They later added a Chihuahua puppy, then another…and then even more until they had seven.

As they were living in the same townhouse, an ongoing war was waged between the dogs and cat until Pusanisa decided to do something about it.

A few months ago, she put Ritchie in a group photo with the dogs, and surprisingly, the grumpy cat didn’t mind posing in a group photo and the animals all began bonding with each other.

Being the only feline in the family, Ritchie has taken over the pack ever since because… well, he’s a cat. He does what he wants.

“They all live together. Ritchie now takes care of the dogs. He’s the leader now,” Pusanisa said.

“At bedtime, if the dogs are loud, Ritchie will let out a loud meow like he’s telling them to shut up. And they all run to the bed to sleep. They all sleep in the same bed, in an air-conditioned room.”

Before the Ritchie era, the puppy pack was led by Yuta, a two-year-old, monochrome Chihuahua, which is why the Instagram account is not named after Ritchie.

You’d better change that, human.

Now eight strong, the family is usually let out to run around in the garden in the morning. After that, they still play all day, except Ritchie, who sleeps more than anyone else because… well, he’s a cat.

“The only fight they have is when Ritchie sleeps and the dogs like to mess with him. He might be annoyed, but that’s it,” their owner said.

“Ritchie now loves being with dogs.”

Besides their unique ability to sit still for a group photo, Pusanisa said her pets have been a great joy to her and other people who cross paths in her life.

“We’ve created such a huge bond. I raised them since they were young. Even though they cannot speak, they try their best to show their love to me. When I come home, they’re always excited and happy.”

“They make me want to come home.”
