Famous soft-core porn star Cherry Samkhok reported to police on a charge of public obscenity on Saturday after her dance performance at Bangkok Motor Show got a little too sexual.
The 31-year-old actress, along with her male dance partner Apisit Sae-ung, 28, were fined THB5,000 together after their erotic dance for the Mirage Audio booth heated up the car show on Thursday and the footage broke the internet.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Susak Prakkamakul, commander of Nonthaburi police, said their act was “inappropriate” and sparked criticism in the media and among the public, therefore they must be prosecuted.
Organizer Pranaya Plienki and Mirage Audio booth manager Krittatat Piyawutthipot were also fined THB5,000 for hiring the models to dance.
The four apologized to the public and claimed the show was simply “art.”
Meanwhile, Cherry said she was just doing her job and that she understood the cops had to do their job as well, Manager reported.
“Maybe the show was inappropriate for the venue and event. We all live under the law and I accept it. I did my duty, but police also have to do theirs. If the society and the law said the dance was not appropriate, then I’m guilty,” Cherry said.
Art or not? We’ll leave it for you to judge.
