It’s Friday, we’re all tired. It’s super hot outside. Time to end the week with a good ole’ snake story.
A particularly ravenous python in southern Thailand swallowed a villager’s baby goat, from ears to tail, before being forced to regurgitate it.
Rescue workers in Satun province got word this week that a roughly 3-meter serpent had made a meal out of a 3-month-old kid at a rubber plantation in Tanyongpoe, a district along the Andaman Coast. (Pedantic editor’s note: One time that word is used correctly.)
Rescue personnel arrived at the scene Wednesday to find the snake, bloated with an unmistakable lump, sleeping in the plantation’s goat stall.
In a minute-or-so video clip, rescuers can be seen struggling to capture the snake and then helping it vomit the kid’s corpse.
In one darkly comical scene, two men are seen holding the snake from both ends and shaking it – like one would a dusty blanket – in an attempt to free the creature-turned-feast.
While the kid ended up coming out the way it went it, it sadly did not survive its time inside the snake.
The snake was released back into the woods a long slither away from residents and their farm animals.
