Remember the man riding a super-long electric scooter on the road and got it impounded by the authorities? Welp, he’s now obeying the law and riding an electric bike on the road instead, which is very much kosher under the eyes of the law.
The only problem here, however, is that he’s still towing around that trailer rig on his personal mobility device (PMD). Super-long E-scooter is no more, but say hello to Super-long E-bike. It even appears to be that the man extended the trailer’s length with extra rods.
Jimmy Hor shared a picture he took yesterday on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, in which the uncle is seen walking along Upper Paya Lebar Road with his newfangled motorized two-wheeler. It’s within the same vicinity where he was first spotted riding the super-long e-scooter last Saturday and subsequently caught by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) officers. Surprisingly, only his e-scooter got impounded, but not his lengthy metal contraption.
Amidst all the comments mocking and criticizing the uncle for his persistent commitment to lengthy PMDs, one commenter claims that the man can be spotted wandering around Paya Lebar Road every day collecting discarded items. The trailer rig, presumably, is for him to transport his cargo of collected items in a bid to earn a living.
Nonetheless, the man’s contraption still does pose a risk on the roads as motorists who may not be able to notice the scooter’s low-lying trailer could easily collide into the rig.
