Singapore’s first mini golf club-cocktail bar is debuting at Clarke Quay in December

There’s a golf club called Holey Moley taking over the spacious site left behind by Mando-pop nightclub Shanghai Dolly, which shuttered in April this year at Clarke Quay.

Time ’til tee off: this December. The concept is part mini golf course, part cocktail bar — so we’re hoping that once Holey Moley launches, it’ll bring a bit of active fun (drunken dancing doesn’t quite count) to the area, inevitably turning a traditionally family-friendly game into an extra rowdy good time.

It’s brought to our shores by Funlab, which first introduced the idea in Brisbane, Australia, in September 2016. With an eclectic design completely transforming the space — it looks nothing like its predecessor — Holey Moley can host up to 450 people across its two floors that feature a maze of 27 pop culture-themed holes. From TV series to hit blockbusters to board games, you’ll be taking a swing while discussing household names like Game of Thrones, The Simpsons, E.T., Jaws, and Monopoly.

Oh, and let’s not forget the quintessential “local twist,” created here in the form of a hawker center dinner at the “Upside Down” hole.

The photogenic venue also busts out DJs spinning beats behind the deck and a menu of bar grub like salads, pizza served by the meter, a massive three pound burger, and regular-sized burgers with neon-colored buns.

Definitely going for the Instagram-obsessed crowd here.

Cocktails get the similar psychedelic treatment with flavors like Candy Man, a red-hued margarita with blended jelly beans and fairy floss. We imagine it’ll be a dream come true for the unicorn cake enthusiasts, or perhaps offer an extreme sugar rush to propel the rest of us to putt-putt victory.
