After all that buzz about Beef Bro at this year’s Geylang Serai bazaar, the stall has arrived at to a mall near you – if you live in the East, that is. The fan favorite brand, set up by Mediacorp actor Danial Ashriq and inspired by the Taiwanese street snack, just opened a takeaway spot at Century Square.
Of course, those flame-grilled halal beef cubes that people queued up for at the Ramadan bazaar will be on the menu, alongside blow-torched chicken and seafood like scallops or baby squid, as well as bento sets that come with brown or Japanese white rice, cherry tomatoes, and corn.
Prices start from $5.90 for the chicken cubes and go up to $11.90 for the mentaiko scallops, or you can get them in a bento set for $8 and $13, respectively.
The food is made to order – you can also inform them of your preferred doneness – so don’t be surprised if you pop by and see a long line.
If you care to stuff your face with a mouthful of charred beef cubes on the cheap, then mark your calendar for Aug 5, 1pm — that’s when the store is celebrating its grand opening by giving away the snack for free to the first 200 customers.
