Any kind of ice cold treat works wonders under the sweltering Singapore sun – but spiked slushies? That’s just a whole new level of grown-up merriment our teenage selves never understood. So the next time you’re sweating it out and badly in need of something to beat the heat, try these frozen alcoholic concoctions with a kick that satisfies in two ways.

The adult slushies at this Peruvian ceviche spot come in just two options: Pisco Punch and Pisco Sour, both at $15 each. One’s a refreshing watermelon treat, while the other will perk you up in no time with its zesty citrus notes. Get ’em to go, so you can sip and slurp while strolling through the hip Keong Saik Road neighborhood.

17A Keong Saik Rd, 6224-0212. Tues 6pm-10:30pm, Wed-Thurs 4pm-10:30pm, Fri-Sat 4pm-11:30pm.

On the mod-Asian restaurant’s new Not So Lonely Planet cocktail line-up, you’ll find a tropical, icy concoction called El Nido ($24), made of rum, melon, pandan, and citrus. It’s boozy, it’s thirst-quenching, and it packs a punch. What’s not to love?

115 Amoy St, 6557-0189. Mon-Sat noon-3pm, 6pm-midnight.

Caffe Fernet

Heck yeah, rosé wine gets the frosty treatment, too. On a particularly muggy day, try the “frosé” here, which comes in flavors like strawberry and watermelon, with a splash of Cinzano Dry. You can either savor a glass for $15, or better yet, order a pitcher to share for $68 while you admire the Marina Bay views from your perch.

#01-05 Customs House, 70 Collyer Quay, 9178-1105. Mon-Thurs noon-midnight, Fri-Sat noon-2am, Sun 11am-5pm.

Junior The Pocket Bar

This hidden bar with a rotating pop-up concept — it’s currently featuring Magnolia, with cocktails, bar bites, and tunes inspired by the culture of New Orleans — feels like another era altogether when you step through its alleyway entrance.

If you’re all about letting the good times roll, the four frozen daiquiris ($18) — in flavors that change every week — include the likes of Brandy Crusta (cognac, curacao, maraschino, lemon, bitters), Hurricane (rum, passion fruit, orange, lime, grenadine), Grasshopper (crème de menthe, crème de cacao, tequila, cream, absinthe), and Frozen Irish Coffee (cognac, coffee liqueur, vanilla ice cream, cold brew coffee, Fernet Branca).

43 Tanjong Pagar Rd, 8121-1462. Mon-Sat 6pm-midnight.
