‘Call Me By Your Name’ opens in select Philippine cinemas this January

After a special screening last November, critically acclaimed film Call Me By Your Name will have a limited release in select Philippine cinemas starting January 31.

The film starring Armie Hammer and Timothie Chalamet will show at select Ayala Cinemas, according to a story in Spot.Ph.

Based on the 2007 novel of the same name and set in the 1980s in rural Italy, the story revolves around a developing relationship between 17-year-old Elio (Chalamet) and 24-year-old Oliver (Hammer).

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last January and was picked up by Sony Pictures.

The National Board Review and American Film Institute named the movie one of the top 10 films of the year.
