The Government Savings Bank may not be your first choice to open an account with, but the state-owned credit union has recently caused a frenzy among fabulous money users with its new line of Barbie debit cards.
Let’s face it — the Government Savings Bank is known for selling limited-edition notes and giving away hideous piggy banks, but no more of that. The pink bank just paired up with Barbie, the influential trendsetter in pink.

The Barbie debit cards come in two designs with a matching bank book, and many local girls who grew up playing Barbie have posted photos of themselves and their new plastic cards on Facebook.
Just like other debit cards, the Barbie cards collect a basic fee of THB250 per year. Those who register cards will also be given Barbie vinyl bags (while supplies last).
