Cranky old Englishman causes scene on MRT after taking offence at someone’s t-shirt; gets kicked out

Despite the already agonising conditions of being packed like sardines on the MRT carriage, one crotchety old man decided to cause a scene when, for some reason, he took personal offence to someone wearing a T-shirt that says “I’m Fucking Special”.

Perhaps he grew up in a cult that shuns bad words, or maybe a graphic tee touched him in the wrong places when he was little, but whatever the case, you can just see how enraged he is by the whole thing.

Quite amazingly, the dude wearing the T-shirt managed to keep calm throughout and refused to engage with the crabby Englishman, who even threatened to beat him up.

See the whole thing unfold in the footage captured by Nabilah Nasser, who uploaded it on her Facebook page.

Things started to escalate when the bewilderingly offended old man wanted to lay his hands on the innocent dude, but luckily a fellow commuter (identified as Hanafie) stepped in and berated the man, demanding him to get out when the train reached Ang Mo Kio MRT station. Also, note their verbal exchange of “What’s your problem” and “It’s my problem” that went on a vicious loop.

The whole altercation came to an end when several police officers and SMRT personnel asked him to step outside — and thats when the other commuters in the carriage finally found their balls and started yelling at him.

Hanafie stepped outside as well, and probably explained the whole situation to the officers — kudos to you bromie for stepping up to the plate while others simply averted their gaze.

As for the grouchy old man, nobody knows what happened to him. Maybe the police punished him by making him wear a T-shirt that says “I’m Fucking Repulsive”.

UPDATE:

The strapping young lad who stood up to the bully has since spoken out — and says you need to always stand for what’s right and help the nation as well. Righteous, bro.
